Also, it you think the popular Subway is a healthy alternative, think twice! I researched Subway’s sandwiches and the have a large selection of sandwiches that are over 500 calories. Don’t get me wrong, they do have healthy sandwiches but from what I’ve seen people tend to go for flavor! Below is a screen shot of my favorite foot-long subway sandwich, the Sweet Onion Chicken Teriyaki Sandwich which has a whopping 740 calories.

Soup or Salad for Starters

Eating a soup or Salad as an appetizer can be help encourage weigh loss. You can curb your hunger so you avoid over-eating, and keep your meals within they recommended serving size. For maximum results use low calorie salad dressing, and eat healthy vegetable or minestrone soups.
